Mysql queries in php and codeigniter

Codeigniter is the PHP framework that uses the pattern for database records. This pattern allows information to be retrieved, inserted and updated in your database with minimal scripting. Database connections are too easy to connect with database most of the things are already done in the framework we will show you that in later tutorials. This framework uses the pattern of MVC that means model, view, and controller.
We can use the crud by using the MVC method.

Mysql Quries in php and codeigniter

Usage of Mysql queries

these are the main quires in a database in MySQL, code igniter or any other language every time most of the user interact with these quires.
Select Query: Select query is used for the selection of data from MySQL database table and use it in any other place where you require the data. Like in web application, the user profile data that displayed on this profile front end that is saved in the database and select query select the user profile data and bring in the view and developer show that data in appropriate place.
Insert Query: Insert query is used to insert/save the data in a database so that the user can retrieve and manipulate the data when he needed. Like in web applications the user came on the site and him sign-up on the website then he adds the data of a user in the database. He can access that data when he required it.
Update Query: Update query is used to update the records that are already inserted in the database when the user require this. Like in web applications the user have the access that he can edit his profile so the data need to be updated in the database also.
Delete Query: Delete query is used to delete the records from the database when data became raw for a user. Like if someone wants to close his account or he wants to cancel his order for some item that he ordered then the data needed to be deleted from the database.

All these queries have little bit different syntax in different languages but have the same concept and logic. Near about every web application uses the database for saving manipulating and retrieving the data from a user and perform actions on it. The database is the part of the application. You can search for reading more material about by just writing the queries MySQL w3, MySQL queries pdf, MySQL queries examples, MySQL queries interview questions, MySQL queries list, MySQL queries interview questions and answers pdf, MySQL join queries, MySQL queries tutorial and much more you will get the reading material of good quality. Fetch JSON Data Insert into Mysql table in PHP

Fetch JSON Data  Insert into MySQL table in PHP: Hello friends today we are going to learn the very basics of JSON data, MySQL and PHP that we will get the JSON data and then read JSON through the PHP script and after that insert the JSON formatted data into the MySQL database.

What are JSON and data format of JSON File ?

JSON is the abbreviation of JavaScript Object Notation is a lightweight data-interchange format that is used for the storage of data. More easy to read the data then the data is in the XML format. JSON type of data is supported all popular browser nowadays.

Example of JSON Data Format

The is the JSON format where every each entry is the pair of key and value in the object format. Where file name is myson.json.
[
    {
    "name": "Mike",
    "Age": "23",
    "Gender": "Male",
    "Country": "U.S"
},
{
    "name": "Thomous",
    "Age": "21",
    "Gender": "Male",
    "Country": "U.S"
},
{
    "name": "Johan",
    "Age": "22",
    "Gender": "Male",
    "Country": "U.S"
}
]

This is the JSON formatted data  that is about the persons whose names, ages, genders, and countries are mentioned here we are going to insert into the MySQL database. In next steps, we will read the data and insert into the MySQL database table.

Step 1: Connect PHP to MySQL Database

Now the first step is we have to connect the PHP to MySQL by using the mysqli_connect()  function. So that we can insert our data into the MySQL database easily.
<?php
$connect = mysqli_connect('localhost','root','');
mysqli_select_db($connect, 'json_db');
?>
 This PHP code will connect the PHP to MySQL database where the database name is "json_db" and then we will get the JSON data and insert into the table.

Step 2: Read the JSON file using PHP

Next step is to read the JSON file data and put that in the PHP variable so that we can read and manipulate the data according to our requirements. Well in PHP getting the data from the file to PHP variable is simple by using the file_get_contents() this function will read the whole JSON file and return the string. See usage in PHP
<?php
    //read the json file contents
    $jsondata = file_get_contents('myjson.json');
?>
Where myjson.json is the JSON file that contains the content. $jsondata is the variable that contains the JSON file data. You can see by printing the data by just
echo"<Pre>";print_r($jsondata); exit;
 This will print the JSON string.

Step 3: Convert JSON String to Php Array

Until we do not convert the string to PHP array either associative or any other type of array we can not manipulate the operations on the data so for that we are going to convert the string to the associative array we use the PHP function json_decode().
<?php
    //convert json object to php associative array
    $data = json_decode($jsondata, true);
?>
First parameter $jsondata is the variable that contains the string which is decode to an array and  the second true is used to convert into an associative array. If we print the $data then it is converted into associative array see the image below.
Fetch JSON Data & Insert into Mysql table in PHP

Here you can see the PHP coding directory files and the flow of the system. See the image below.

Fetch JSON Data & Insert into Mysql table in PHP

Step 4: Extract the Array Values

Now we will extract the array elements one by one and the insert that data elements into the MySQL database. Hope you are understanding the things right away. See the code.
<?php
foreach($data as $d_key => $d_val){
            $id= $i++;
            $name = $d_val['name'];
            $age = $d_val['Age'];
            $gender = $d_val['Gender'];
            $country = $d_val['Country'];
}
?>
This is an extraction of an array into another array with the indexing and is used to insert data to MySQL database as my database name is json_db and I am now creating the table I attached the image below see and you can create your own data types of table.

Fetch JSON Data & Insert into Mysql table in PHP

Step 5: Insert JSON to MySQL Database with PHP Code

Now we have to insert the JSON data to the MySQL database using the PHP so that we can save our JSON data to the database and then can perform operations on that data. Here is the code of all the program.
<?php
$connect = mysqli_connect('localhost','root','');
mysqli_select_db($connect, 'json_db');
    //read the json file contents
    $jsondata = file_get_contents('myjson.json');
    //convert json object to php associative array
    $data = json_decode($jsondata, true);
    $i = 0;
    foreach($data as $d_key => $d_val){
            $id= $i++;
            $name = $d_val['name'];
            $age = $d_val['Age'];
            $gender = $d_val['Gender'];
            $country = $d_val['Country'];

        $query = "insert into person_info(name, age, gender, country) "
                . "values('$name','$age','$gender','$country')";
//        echo"<pre>";print_r($query);exit;
        if(mysqli_query($connect, $query)){
            echo "Records added successfully.";
        } else{
            echo "ERROR: Could not able to execute .$query " . mysqli_error($connect);
        }//end of else
    }//end of foreach loop
?>
You can see the image of code and then the data that is inserted into the database so that all the things just damn clear to you.

Linux Basic Commands

Linux Basic Commands: This will help you the basic concepts about the Linux Command Line, Terminal, and commands that run on the terminal and then you will be able to do everything using the terminal.

Linux Basic Commands Overview:

Before the windows operating systems mean GUI base systems, people were using and controlling the computer systems by the punch cards, that is the set of commands in the card and run the commands. After that, the command prompt is the one that the people were using for controlling the computer system either for copying the file, deletion of files, run or execute some program file they use the command prompt for each and every purpose. After that, the Microsoft launch the windows Operating system that is totally graphical user interface based. In Linux versions, there is also few graphical user interface operating systems that do the most of the work using graphical user interface but the terminal is more powerful.

Linux Basic Commands:

how can we "List Files" using Terminal:

When we open the terminal the current folder is the path in the terminal, If we want to show the list of folder and files listed in them then we can show files ls command and get more detail by adding more parameters to the command. Like ls -t is used for the list of file sorted by time, ls -S will sort the file by file size, and ls -r will show the reverse of the order.

show list directories using linux terminal

How can we "Change Directories" using Terminal:

If you want to change the directories mean the move from one folder to another folder then we can use the "cd" command and ".." folder. By using these we can move up to the directory and move ahead to the directory structure.  There are two types of commands one relative path and other is an absolute path. When we type the following command it switches to the directory directly above the current one folder.
cd ..
Absolute command means that in current directory have the folder name documents then we can go into by typing the following command.
cd Documents
We can show the current directory full path from root directory to the current directory by writing the following command
cd -
See the image below that will explain you more detail about it.

changing directories using linux / ubuntu terminal

How can we "create or remove folders" using Terminal:

In Linux / Unix we can create the folders from Graphical User Interface but here we are teaching you the terminal. So we can create new folders and we can remove new folders. For creating the new folder with the user defined name, the command is
mkdir my_test_folder
 We can now remove the folder that is just created by the command and can be removed by the command only is there is no data inside the folder.
rmdir my_test_folder
 You will have to remove / delete those files that are inside the folder and then you will be able to delete the folder.
See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

create and remove directories using terminal

How can we "Create and remove files" using Terminal:

This is the simple one to create and remove the file using Linux / Ubuntu Terminal. It uses the following command.
touch test_file
to create the new, blank file and same for deleting the filing process is same write the command that is
rm test_file
Here we can delete the all files at once by using the "*" in the parameter that will delete all files. The command is:
rm *
Now if someone wants to delete all the files and sub files in the folders / directories he can use the -r parameter that means recursive(re-run) and sometimes the system does not allow the user to delete the file then you can use -f that means force the operation.
rm -f test_file
See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

create or remove the files using terminal

How can we "Edit Plain Text Files" using Terminal:

Actually, the users use the different editor for editing the text files in the Linux / Ubuntu operating systems. So for beginners, the simplest one is to edit text files using nano command. The command is:
nano test_files
 This will open the nano file editor then you will type the context and press ctrl + x it will say you for save the files press enter button. See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

nano file edit command using terminal

You can edit your text file in vim by using the following command.
vi new_file

How can we "Display files" using terminal:

When we create the text file that may have more text and we want to show more text in the terminal while opening the file so we can view more data in the file. For that purpose, we use the command
more new_file
 See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

Linux Basics Commands

How can we "Use History" using Terminal:

The history is one of the most important and amazing factors in the terminal that it is saving your commands in the history so that when you want to see that you can access that by the history commands. The command is just written history in the terminal.
history
  See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

history using Linux / Ubuntu terminal

How can we "Find Files" using Terminal:

For finding any file directory the find in Linux / Ubuntu is the very powerful command that finds on your system. For Example: if you need to find all the files that are with the .txt extension then you can use the following command.
find . -name "*.txt"
find command using Linux / Ubuntu Terminal

How can we "Find a Text String in Files" using Terminal:

Finding text in the files directories and sub-directories the Grep is the command that will search the text that you want to search. The command will search for all files. The command is
grep -ir "hello" *
  See the image for detail. This will more clear the things to you.

text search using the Linux / Unix / Ubuntu terminal

Moving files from one folder to another you can use the "mv" is used and for copying of file "cp" is used. See example Hope you understand now most of the things.
mv image imagefolder
cp image ../
 If you still have any problem, query then you can ask here directly we will response you quickly. You can search with these queries Linux basic commands with examples pdf, Linux tutorial, Linux basic commands pdf, Linux basic commands with examples, Linux basic commands tutorial, red hat linux basic commands pdf, linux basic commands ppt, linux basic commands with examples ppt and much more for learning material. How to install and configure LAMP server on Linux / Ubuntu ?

How to install and configure LAMP server on Linux / Ubuntu: Lamp server is an open source web development platform/software package that is for the Linux / Ubuntu users. The lamp is the software package that includes the Apache as the web server, MySQL as the relational database for development of applications and the PHP is used as scripting languages (object-oriented ). There may be used some of the other scripting languages like python, Perl or other languages that using the Apache server. So the Lamp server components can be changeable for the different table for different environments and install different programming language.

Install Lamp in Linux / Ubuntu From Start :

In this guide, I will teach you how to install Lamp system. Lamp stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP this is the lamp software package where the PHP can be interchangeable. In the Linux/Ubuntu the package of software installed by using commands using the terminal.

Install Apache:

Let's start the installation process first, install the Apache.

Step 1) Open your terminal either by clicking the icon of terminal or by pressing the shortcut key
( Alt+Ctrl+t ).
Step 2) Write the line of code or paste it into the terminal and then press the enter key.
sudo apt-get install apache2
Step 3) Then the terminal will ask you for your system password, type the password and press enter button.

Test Apache installation:

To make sure that we have installed the Apache  server successfully we now test it.

Step 1) Open browser ( browser that you have installed on your system ) and write or copy-paste the below line in the web address bar:
http://localhost/
or
127.0.0.1/
You should see the folder named Apache2-default/. Open the folder it will say "It works" congratulation to you for first step completion.

Install PHP:

In this part of the tutorial, we will install the PHP version 5.

Step 1) Again Open your terminal either by clicking the icon of a terminal or by pressing the shortcut key ( Alt+Ctrl+t ).
Step 2) Write the line of code or paste it into the terminal and then press the enter key:
sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5
Step 3) For PHP to work and compatible with the Apache server we have to restart the Apache server.
Type the command/code in Terminal to do this:
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Now PHP installation completed and we will test that the PHP is installed successfully of not.

Test PHP:

A quick test runs to ensure that the PHP version 5 installed successfully. Here one important thing in some of the Linux versions the /www/html/ is the default path set. so we will create the file in the HTML folder or have to change the path.
Step 1) Write the line of code or paste it into the terminal and then press the enter key:
sudo gedit /var/www/html/testphp.php

How to install and configure LAMP server on linux/ubuntu ?

Step 2) Then open the file copy paste the code or you may be can type anything of PHP.
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Step 3) Save and close the testphp.php file.
Step 4) Now open your web browser and copy paste or write the link in web address bar.
http://localhost/testphp.php

How to upload image in php?

How to upload image in PHP

How to upload image in PHP

Hello, friends today we are going to learn about the submission of forms with files. This is too easy and simple while you are doing coding. so don't be afraid it's simple and easy programmatically I will teach you here each and every step in detail. so your concepts will be clear.

while you are working in PHP first you need to start your server so that the code will be run on the server. So I assume that you now the server and know how to start the server and run your code in that.

How to upload image in php?

HTML

<html>
<head>
<title>A simple example of uploading a file using PHP script</title>
</head>
<body>
<b>Simple example of uploading a file</b><br />
Choose a file to be uploaded<br />
<form action="" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="file" size="50" />
<input type="text" name="ASDF" size="50" />
<br />
<input type="submit" value="Upload" />
</form>
</body>
</html>

PHP

You can upload the file using the PHP in the folder which you gave the path and you also need to save the name of a file in the database table so that you can then use the name again.

<?php
 if(!empty($_FILES['file'])){
    $targetfolder = "assets/";
    $file_name = $_FILES['file']['name'];
    $file_temp = $_FILES['file']['tmp_name'];
    echo "<pre>";print_r($_FILES);
    if($_FILES['file']['error'] == 0){
        move_uploaded_file($file_temp, $targetfolder.$file_name);
        echo "The file ". $_FILES['file']['name']. " is uploaded";
    }
    else {
       echo "Problem uploading file";
    }
 }
 ?>

Now this is the easiest way to upload the file in custom PHP that is you require the
  • file_name
  • file_temp
  • target folder
and the PHP function move_upload_file which take the arguments and upload the file. also remember that the path you provide should be writeable. You can search with these queries in google for studying more material. Search for these strings upload image PHP tutorial, upload image PHP example, upload image PHP MySQL, upload image PHP MySQL tutorial, upload image Php jquery, upload image PHP stack overflow, android upload image PHP, PHP image upload script and much more can help you for searching the things.
